The aim of the study is to increase the reliability of a two-motor drive of an inclined diffusion apparatus with nonlinear elastic connections due to the automated provision of its operation in the stability zone. Management is carried out on the basis of continuous monitoring of its main electrical and mechanical parameters. The object of research is electromagnetic and electromechanical processes in a two-motor electric drive with an elastic connection of an inclined diffusion apparatus. The subject of research is methods and means of automated control of an electric drive of an inclined diffusion apparatus. The paper analyzes the known control systems for two-motor electric drives, as well as methods for studying their dynamic modes. Mathematical models of a two-motor electric drive of an inclined diffusion apparatus have been developed, in which the nonlinear nature of the elastic-dissipative connection between the drive motors is taken into account. This made it possible to study the dynamic properties of the system, taking into account its main technological features. A microprocessor-based system for automated control of a two-motor drive of an inclined diffusion apparatus has been developed. It is distinguished by the presence of control devices not only for electrical, but also for mechanical parameters, in particular, the relative angle of rotation of the motor shafts. Experimental studies of the proposed methods and means in production conditions confirmed the adequacy of the theoretical results obtained and showed a positive effect on improving the reliability and efficiency of the drive system of the inclined diffusion apparatus. Key words: inclined diffuse apparatus, automated control system, double-motor electric drive with elastic connections, mathematical model, dynamic properties, system reliability.
