Essay

The thesis is devoted to experimental and theoretical studies of the stress-strain state of compressed laminated columns under local exposure to high temperatures. A full-scale experiment was conducted to study the performance of wooden structures under conditions of a real fire. Analytic results were obtained for calculating the temperature problem and equations were derived to determine the local effect of temperatures on the bearing capacity and deformability of centrally compressed wooden columns. Calculation of wooden columns by the reduced section method using the instrumentality of the finite element method in the Lira software package has been performed. The research results have been applied in the design and implementation of wooden structures on real objects. Based on the obtained results of experimental and theoretical research, practical recommendations for the calculation of the bearing capacity of columns made of laminated timber, working in conditions of local influence of high temperatures, have been developed.
