The dissertation is devoted to the issue of improving the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of lingual tonsil hypertrophy (LTH) in patients with ENT pathology. Examination of 119 patients of the main group with LTH revealed 72 chronic pharyngitis (60.5%), 42 chronic tonsillitis (35.3%), chronic rhinosinusitis 5(4.2%). Clinical-laboratory methods were used to establish the features of the clinical course of LTH. The most common concomitant diseases were analyzed. Differential criteria and statistically significant differences of these indicators in patients were determined. The most common concomitant diseases were analyzed. Differential criteria and statistically significant differences of these indicators in patients were determined. A comparative assessment of the microbial status, salivary cytology, histological, immunological, instrumental studies in patients with LTH and in 30 patients with similar complaints, but without LTH is given. Patients with LTH were diagnosed with a high frequency of persistence of herpes virus, Heliсobaсter pylori infections, and background endocrinological conditions. The obtained research results formed the basis for the starting treatment tactics of the patients of the main group. In the absence of normalization of indicators after conservative treatment, 76 patients underwent cryosurgical treatment on an outpatient basis. Dynamic changes analyzed after 1 month and 1 year after the intervention showed good results in 58 (76%) people, and satisfactory results in 18 (24%) people. Conservative treatment of a group of 43 people showed instability of the results, the need for dynamic observation and repetition of courses of conservative treatment.
