Katrych D. Administrative and Legal Status of the National Police of Ukraine

Theoretical generalization and a new scientific task solution, which is to define the nature and features of administrative and legal status of the National Police of Ukraine, proceeding from the analysis of researchers’ scientific views, and current statutory provisions of Ukraine and practice of its implementation, and also on the basis of positive domestic and foreign experience, to establish the most promising directions for improvement of administrative legislation in the relevant sphere, have been shown in the thesis. The concept of administrative status of the National Police has been defined. The administrative and legal status of the National Police has been described. The principles of activities of the National Police of Ukraine have been discovered. The purpose and tasks of the National Police in Ukraine have been identified. The functions of the National Police in Ukraine have been specified. The forms and methods of activity of the National Police have been revealed. The areas of further reformation of the National Police of Ukraine have been developed. Foreign experience in the improvement of administrative and legal status of the National Police units has been generalized.
