Thesis for a candidate's degree by specialty 05.13.07 – Automation of Control Processes, National Technical University «Dniprovska Polytechnic», Dnipro, 2021. The dissertation is devoted to the solution of the actual scientific and technical problem of increasing the yield of measured products on small-scale continuous states by adjusting the length of the rolled stock. Based on the analysis of rental profiles, it has been established that the predicted control of the length of the rental is possible only in its middle section, which is defined as the difference between the length of the rental and the sum of the lengths of the widths of its front and rear sections. The developed control system for the length of the car allows you to adjust its length in the middle section by changing the mode of its compression in the presence of the control system pressure screws and by changing the mode of tension in the presence of an automatic system to stabilize the tension. When controlling the length of the rental at the boundaries of the tolerance field of its transverse dimensions, the change in the speed setpoint is provided by the intensity adjuster based on the proportional-integral controller. The structure of the rental length control system is proposed, at which the system is located at the level of automatic and operator control, in addition a set of technical means is proposed. On the basis of the structure, a control system software has been developed for the functioning check, which is performed on the model of the finishing stand group.
