Nikulin Y. Administrative and Legal Support of Information Security of the National Police of Ukraine

Theoretical generalization and a new scientific task solution, which is to define the nature and content of administrative and legal support of information security of the National Police of Ukraine and directions of its improvement has been given taking into account domestic practice and foreign experience. Theoretical and legal fundamentals of the information security of the National Police of Ukraine have been studied through the reflection of the realities of the current state of information support and information security of the National Police of Ukraine; the information content as an object of administration has been revealed and legal and regulatory framework for support of information security of the National Police authorities has been analyzed. It has been found that information security in the National Police is a state of internal and external legal relations in which, firstly, the proper use of information by authorized persons of the National Police within departmental, interdepartmental, national and international information space is ensured and guaranteed; secondly, measures, aimed at the timely detection, prevention and neutralization of real and potential threats to police information security and counteraction to unauthorized actions regarding information in the information space, entrusted to them, are taken.
