Object of research - manganese dioxide, the purpose is the management of electroreduction rate of manganese dioxide by regulation nonstoichiometry of its structure. Research methods and equipment: voltammetry (PI-50.1), electrical characteristics of a power sources breadboard models,rentgenography (DRON-3), thermogravimetry (MOM-Budapest), gasometric definition of catalytic activity, relaxation method of ionic conductivity definition. Theoretical results and novelty: the new criterion of an activity of manganese dioxide estimation - ionic part of conductivity is entered. The potentials ranges of manganese dioxide electroreduction on the surface and in the volume of a solid phase are reasonable. Structure of manganese dioxide received from fluoride containing electrolytes for the first time is determined. Practical results and novelty: оn the basis of laboratory tests the most active kind of manganese dioxide for an electrode material of power sources(area of application) is chosen.
