Essay

Research objects: The National Joint-Stock Insurance Company "Oranta" Incorporated. Research objectives: study of financial and economic and organization problems concerning formation of the agricultural property insurance market and substantiation of directions of its development and functioning. Methods: monographic, system and comparative analysis, graphic, statistical grouping, index, calculation. Theoretical and practical results: Financial and economic and organization preconditions to develop the agricultural insurance market in Ukraine and directions of its functioning are theoretically substantiated. Novelty of introduced: a complex research of the problem concerning development of the agricultural insurance market has been conducted first in Ukraine. Theoretical substantiation of the system of financial and economic preconditions to form the agricultural property insurance market. Directions of its development and efficient functioning are substantiated. Implementation degree: results have b een partially used by the National joint-stock company "Oranta" during preparation of legislative and normative acts on insurance. Worked out organization schemes of the insurance market and the scheme of an insurance company's marketing activity are used in the educational course "Insurance" at the faculty of economics of the National Shevchenko University. Efficiency: it will promote to development of the insurance market and increase of insurance activity efficiency in agriculture of Ukraine. Sphere, sector of use: insurance activity in agriculture; the Ministry of the agro-industrial complex; insurance companies and organizations.
