Essay

Field and laboratory research. It was shown the most resistant hybrids to neat and common smut. The results of this study are given to the research centre of the State Commete of Ukraine, for regional adaptation in 1998-1999 years. In our study for the first time the optimum period of artificial inoculation of new hybrids of maize with pathogen Ustilago maydis aimed at the resistance valuation were determined.
