Pavlov O. Incantation as verbal magic.

This dissertation is a monuskript. It analyzes incantations as most ancient oldwst sacred text, the esoteric experience of the Ukrainian people. Invocatory texts are considered to be manifestation of primordoal mysticism, which is the psychological basis of ancient and contemporary man. Verbal magicc is connected to the intutively creative discovery of the psycho-physiological phenomenon, according to which spiritual strenth of word is capable of influencing the micro- and macrocosm whith its energy. The presence of a magical theme in other national genres attests a folkloric spiritual whole. Its foundation is the invocatory word. The poetic of incantation is examined as the basis of the magical sense creation. Mataphoric and symbolic language structures, invocatory rhythm ets. created a functioning of a specific secret language. It is natural that magic, as an ancient manifestation among many people became the source of various epic and ppoetic genes.
