Essay

Extremal problems of approximation of functions of discrete argument. To investigate approximation properties of discrete splines. Methods of research are methods of the theory of functions and functional analysis. There were obtained exact values of widths, of error of approximation by discrete splines and of optimal recovery as well as of sharp constants in the Kolmogorov type inequalities. The field of applications is approximation methods of analysis and approximation theory.
