Essay

Three-dimensional numerical model of the radionuclides transport in estuaries and in inland water bodies is developed. It includes moderm methods of numerical simulation of hydrodynamics and suspended sediment transport and parametrization of radionuclide exchange processes (sorption- desorption, deposition- resuspension) in the system "water- bottom- suspended sediment". The model is implemented to simulate distribution and fluxes of the radionuclides of Chernobyl origin in the Kiev Reservoir, in the Dnieper- Boog Estuary and in the Bodenzee Lake.
