Essay

New mathematical means for image feature extraction based on the properties of autocorrelation of illumination function are developed in the dissertation. Discrete equivalents of the formulae for calculating image characteristics in direction and the parallel algorithms are built. Concept of gulf is generalized and structural description of non-convex region with higher order gulfs are defined. The parallel algorithm for gulf extraction have been built.
