Operation of modular cutters with snserts. Increase of efficiency of operation of modular cutters. Methods of research and equipment are dynamic programming and applied mathematical statistics, experiments in conditions of laboratory and industrial manufacture. Theoretical and practical results are mathematical models and software at the automated choice of rational designs inserts and optimization of parameters of their operation. The novelty is appreciated influence of geometrical parameters of the forms of forward surfaces inserts on chip breaking and its probability is determined, The degree of introduction - new designs of inserts and recommendation at the choice of modes of cutting and norms of the charge (is the acts of introduction).
