The kinetics of electroreduction of compounds of Cr(VI) and Cr(III), also the effect of formic and aminoacetic acids on these processes were investigated. In the work the different electrochemical research techniques (voltammetry, potentiometry, method of the rotating cylindrical electrode etc.) were applied. It is found out, that at electroreduction Cr (VI) of a stage of discharge the heterogeneous chemical reaction precedes, in which the components - catalytic agents share.The new mechanism of the chromium deposition from electrolytes on a basis Cr(III) has been offered. According to this mechanism the hydroxide - ions displaycatalytic activity at reduction of ions Cr (II). The reasons of high corrosion resistance of coatings deposited from electrolytes containing formic acid was investigated. The results of researches can be utilised at development of new techniques of electrodeposition of chromiums with the special properties.
