Essay

The modified Monte Carlo method was designed and applied for the estimation within the range of very small values of failure probabilities of structure. The developed numerical approach was applied for the evaluation of probability of first passage over the safe domain of deforming systems of different class: oscillator Duffing; rigid block, sliding on stochastic excited base with dry friction; three-story building; beem, plate and shell. It was shown, that proposed approach significantly efficient than direct Monte Carlo method.
