Object of research is the process of automatic recognition of animals, way and system of its realization. The purpose of work is the system engineering of automatic recognition of animals with the given level of reliability and technical realization of its skilled sample. The researches are based on methods the electrical engineers, mathematical statistics, theory of probability and theory of acceptance of the decisions. For researches the modern measuring devices and computer were used. The way of automatic recognition of a code of number of an animal is offered, the model of system of automatic recognition of an animal is developed, the system of recognition and its sample is created. The way of automatic recognition of a code of number of an animal is patented. The system of recognition is introduced in a pilot farm "Kutuzovka". (IAIUAAS, Kharkov). Area of use of researches - automation of technological processes in animal industries.
