Essay

The spectra of quasiparticles (electrons, holes, phonons, excitons) dependence on geometric sizes of low-dimensional cylindrical heterosystems is investigated. The existance of two different phonon modes in such systems: confined and interface is obtained. Such investigations show, that the effective mass of quasiparticles has large anisotropy in low-dimensional heterostructures.
