Subject of research - experimental methodology for mechanical properties, polycrystalline technical grade titanium. The aim of research - is to study the process influence to the mechanical and fracture properties of the technical grade titanium, obtained by the different melting processes. The research methods - optical. transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Mechanical tastes at the temperature range -253..+200oC. Theoretical result and novelty - The experimental methodology for technical grade titanium quality control heave been created, the grain and subgrain structure and impurities influence to the mechanical properties been studied. Practical results and novelty - recom mendations for the subgrain structure creation and metal quality evaluation been proposed. Degree of introduction optimization of the magnetic electro slag melting at the pilot production conditions been provided at the Patons welding institute (Kyiv, Ukraine). A branch of application - metal and metalurgical science.
