Essay

It was investigated the influence of natural dipeptide carnosine on the processes of lipid peroxidation and functioning the antioxidant system, the parameters of respiration and oxidative phosphorylation in rat's liver. Methods: adsorbtion and EPR-spectroscopy, methods of enzyme's investigations, chromatography. It was shown that carnosine decreases the lipid peroxidation and stabilizates catalase and superoxide dismutase. Carnosine intensified the processes of respiration in liver's mitochondria under the oxidation of (-ketoglutaric acid. Carnosine plays the important role in the cycle of nitric oxide. The results would be used in the practice for correction of damages under hypoxic states оf organism. Field of application: medical and biological scientific institutions.
