Golovko S. Policy of the New Tories concerning trade unions, 1980-1990

The thesis research deals with the study of the social and political processes in Great Britain during the years 1980-1990 within the context of the policy of neo-conservatives towards trade unions. The thesis brings to light the principal motives which called forth the orientations of the policy of the New Tories, and hampered the progress of active opposition from trade unions; inquires into a question of correlation of social and economic reforms carried out by M.Thatcher with the factor of trade unions; studies the distinctive features of the legislation which regulated activities of trade unions at that time; specifies the tactics of the Labour Party towards its collaboration with trade unions.
