The thesis reviews the results of many years work performed in the Donets basin where detailed heat flow studies were made. The history of development of the deep processes and thermal field of the region was considered and compared to the real geological events, which are reflected in the structure of the region. On the basis of the analysis of the mineralogical composition of the xenolithis and geochemical content of magmatic formations the specificity of the mantle composition on eve of the Hercynian activisation was substantiated and a hipothesis the influence of mantle composition on probability of active processes was expressed.
