Essay

Important questions of the biological mineralogy of gallstones have been considered: substances composition, morphology, microstructure, origin, growth and their evolution. Five-stages model of their formation is offered: І. Stage spherolіte-dendrіtіc (fractal) growth cholesterol aggregates. II. Stage restraіn of the fractal growth. III. Nucleatіon stage of the next center fractal aggregatіon (next stone). IV. Stage іnterstone (іnterfractal) іnteractіon - facetіcatіon. V. Recrystallіsatіon stage of the cholesterol gallstones mіcrostructure. New basic results of the dissertation can be used for improvement existing and development of new techniques of treatment of the cholelithiasis.
