Essay

The technique of clinoidness measurement using spine roentgenograms and torsion measurement using horizontal sections of MRT is proposed. With this technique it was done the comparison of torsion and clinoidness at the top of spinous process of basic and compensatory curvature in 97 patients (423 ver-tebrae) having thoracic, thoracolumbar, lumbar and combined scolioses. In all of them it was diagnosed the torsion delay of 4-5 degrees from clinoidness at the basic and compensatory curvature what proved the primarity of the lateral deformity and secondarity of vertebrae twisting in structural scoliosis.
