Essay

The object of study: Dunaliella salina, D. viridis, rat liver cells. The aim of study: to determine interconnection of carotenoid metabolism with lipid metabolism and cells proliferation activity, to determine lipid-carotenoid extracts effect on several liver functional activity indexes under hepatitis and liver fibrosis. Methods and equipment: thin layer chromatography, radioactive labeling, spectrophotometer. Theoretical and practical results, newness: On the basic level of carotenogenesis the straight correlation between proliferation intensity and (-carotene content was characteristic. On the induced level of carotenogenesis the reverse correlation with proliferation intensity and the straight connection with neutral lipids accumulation were characteristic. The samples of D. viridis biomass and extract influenced RNA synthesis and transport in liver cells under hepatitis. The sphere of application: biotechnology, drug technology.
