Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of locally solvable groups with some restrictions on the system of quotient groups. We characterize solvable periodic groups with almost nilpotent proper quotient groups, and investigate solvable periodic groups with quotient groups which are finite extensions of nilpotent subgroups of the nilpotence class c. Also we describe locally solvable groups with nilpotent quotient groups by infinite normal subgroups of nilpotence class c. Keywords: locally solvable group, nilpotent group, periodic group.
