This dissertation focuses on the problem of improving diagnosis and surgical treatment of tumors of the III-rd ventricular region, the conclusions were defined on the basis of an analysis of 339 cases. Admissions and nonadmissions were worked out for the surgical treatment of patients with III-rd ventricular region tumors. They depend on the patients condition, topographo-anatomic correlations of the tumors and nearest brain structures and growth and histobiological tumor properties
