. The influence of "History of Ruses" on the literary activity of T. Shevchenko, A. Pushkin, N. Gogol, Walter, Byron, Ukrainian and Polish romanticists is investigated in "History of Ruses". The author analyses the historical sophistical conception, the problem of the authorship, the political cultural context, the history of publication and the connection with the Ukrainian National Movement of "History of Ruses". The problem of creative interaction of the literary monument with the historical genre of the European Literature, Slav peoples' folklore is revealed in this work. The competitor shows the meaning of "History of Ruses"' for the forming of New Ukrainian Literature genres, for the development of national pride and Ukraine's self-determination, the contact genetic ties of "History of Ruses" with the greatest literary names, works, processes taken place in Ukrainian and European culture of the 18th - 19tn centuries.
