3. Materials of studying radioactive contamination of forest products of Ukraine are summarised in the dissertation. A total area of 1653 thous. ha of forests were surveyed under author's guidance and with his direct contribution to scale the radioactive influence. For the first time for Ukraine, the grouping of forestry enterprises for macroplanning of their activity and forests zoning for forestry measures planning were carried out. Processes of 137Cs migration, regularities of vertical radionuclide transmission in the soil and in the forest biogeocenosis were determined. For the first time for Ukraine, forest typological approach to forestry production use in conditions of radioactive contamination was developed. Special specificity of radionuclides accumulation in forestry production was determined as well as factors influencing this process. Peculiarities of 137Cs migration in the system "soil - host plants - game" were studied. The main results of investigations were used in the practice of fores try and forest production use in the forests contaminated with radionuclides .
