Essay

The controlled mechanisms for the formation and evolution of the local shears in solids at different type of deformation (twinning and slip) have been ascertained. High degree of certainty, common character and significance of results were ensured by choosing of investigation objects. The model materials like Zn, Bi-Sn alloy as well as commercial Be, Be-Cu alloy, Fe-Si, Titanium alloy 19, a-Al2O3(Cr+3) - ruby have been studied.All the revealed effects and phenomenons (the influence of intergranular large-angle tilt boundaries on the strain hardening and destruction of pure Zn and Fe+3,5%Si, duality under the influence of forest dislocation on the mobility of borders, etc…) have been analyzed and explained by means of coupled interaction of dislocations and their conversions.
