The forest ecosystem in the steppe areas of Ukraine. The sub-stantiating the new scientific direction - micromorphology of forest biogeocenosis in the steppe region. Micromorphologycal, complex ecological, analytical methods, PC. The new branch of ecology has been developed, that is ecological micromorphol-ogy, the basis for which are the profound ecological studies of soils and general ecology. In the transparent ground-end analy-ses the polarizable microscopy was used, the methods of inves-tigation were composite. These data proved scientifically the absence of degradation processes under forest verdure in steppe, besides lessivage phenomena were developed, which have nothing in common with the degradation influence upon cher-nozems caused by forest verdure. It has been found out that forest vegetation ameliorates biological, physical and chemical propeties of soil. Theoretical and practical expediency of the steppe forest-planting has also been such planting favours the enriching of steppe chernozem s with humus and other nutrient substances.
