Essay

The Object of the study: special alloy steels. The aim of the study: working out scientific and technological fundamentals of complex alloying steels with nitrogen and nitride- formating elements. Methods of imestigations: analytical, experimental, statistical. It was grounded and confirmed a method of increasing complex of properties of steels at lowering the degree of their alloying with nickel, tungsten, molibdenum and other elements due to the purposeful influence of nitrogen and nitrides on the structure formation of all levels. The degree of introducing into practice: steels with carbide-nitride strengthening were succesfully tested and introduced into practice at 20 enterprises of Ukraine and Russia. The spere of the application: mechanical engineering and metallurgy.
