Essay

A strategy of optimal cutting controlling and prediction of strain-stress and thermal state of cutting wedge has been developed. A basic principle of machining modeling has been also proposed. According to this principle a skiving operation has been got to be considered as a basic unsteady-state machining operation. Both general algorithm of basic machining operation modeling and experimentally-analytical model of unsteady-state cutting has been given based on analysis of its physical model. A methodology of experimental investigations of skiving has been elaborated and this investigations have been performed. Engineering solutions and recommendations for application of high-effective unsteady-state cutting operations have been also developed.
