Essay

Object of study: processes of interaction of light nuclei with nuclei at intermediate energies. Aim of study: revealing and explaining generalities peculiar to refractive phenomena observed in scattering and quasielastic reactions induced by light stable and radioactive nuclei with energies E > 20 - 25 MeV/nucleon. Methods of study: theoretical approach based on the modelling of S-matrix. Results, novelty: macroscopic theory of refractive phenomena in scattering and quasielastic reactions induced by light nuclei with intermediate energies has been developed and new information on interaction between nuclei at small distances, which is inaccessible for traditional methods, has been obtained. Sphere of implementation: nuclear physics at intermediate energies.
