New numerical methods of calculating periodical modes and transient processes in general-purpose AC electrical machines and special ones, which are based on spline-approximation of the state variables, have been developed in the dissertation. Mathematical models of the most important periodical and transient modes allowing obtaining reliable information on the behavior of the electrical machine in various working modes using methods of mathematical simulation have been devised.
