Essay

Objective of the study - the irradiation effects on the materials plastic flow. Aim: the finding of the regularity and physical mechanisms of the irradiation effects on the mechanical properties. Methods of investigation: material irradiated with high-energy (e,()-beams for simulation reactor irradiation; mechanical testing, creep, microhardness;electron microscopy, fractography, field-ion microscopy, metalography; nuclear-physical methods. Results, novelty: The following effects has been studied: the irradiation and mechanical testing parameters, initial structure and their effect on the materials mechanical properties with different types of crystalline structure. The dislocation model of radiation embrittlement, with take account of the dislocation interaction with grain boundaries in irradiated deformed materials is proposed. The irradiation effects on the stacking fault energy (SFE) of materials with different types of the crystalline structure were studied. As results. the decreasing of the SFE o f materials irradiated under temperatures ( 0.2Tm was establish. The synergetic conception of radiation emrittlement, which take account of the hierarchy of the structural level of plastic deformation and instability irradiated materials was proposed. Fild of implementation: Solid state physics, reactor material science.
