Essay

Neural cell adhesion molecule NCAM is differentially distributed in different rat brain structures in rats of diferent sexes. After 25 cGy irradiation NCAM redistribute in the brain straсtures. This redistribution depends on the type of irradiation, time interval after irradiation, and differs between brain structures. Irradiation causes increase of methemoglobin level in rat blood, that is an indication of hemic hypoxy development. NCAM concentration increases in blood serum of irradiated rats that can be used as an additional diagnostic test.
