Fish. The work contains theoretical and experimental analysis of several biochemical mechanisms involved in adaptation of fish to environmental conditions. Goldfish has powerful system of detoxification of activated oxygen forms. Under experimental anoxia and recovery the activity of some antioxidant and associated enzymes in liver may be increased and it is speculated that this change takes place in order to meet following oxidative stress during reoxygenation. Redistribution of activity of carbohydrate metabolism enzymes between free and bound to cellular structural element states may be one of the mechanisms which results in not only space-time reorganization of metabolic pathways in the cell, but also modification of properties of enzymes. Under conditions of limited possibility to produce ATP energy charge may be stabilized by the operation of AMP-deaminase.
