Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of effects of magnetoelastic coupling in quantum magnets, such as magnets with large one-ion anisotropy, magnets with biquadratic exchange, 2D magnetically or-dered systems. In a two-dimensional Heisenberg and non-Heisenberg ferromagnets it is studied the in-fluence of the magnetoelastic interaction on the stabilization of the long-range magnetic order.
