Essay

The model of interactions of interstitial/substitutional atoms in solid solutions (nonstoichiometric phases) based on the fcc, bcc/bct or hcp lattices is evolved. Calculated energy parameters of long-range nonanalytic strain-induced and short-range ‘electrochemical’ interactions of atoms are applied in statistical thermodynamics of ordering (decomposed) interstitial/substitutional solutions, to study atoms diffusion and radiation diffuse scattering.
