Agaponov N. The Scientific Bases for Establishing and Growing of Forest Meliorative Stands in Crimean Mountains

The theoretical, methodological and methodical issues to solve the problems of afforestation on mountainous slopes and stony low productive erosive areas are discovered in dissertation. The process of terrace forming is grounded theoretically. The assessment methods for breast and unbreast tillage, radius of rebated bit, deviation of operating part of tillage instrument from established direction, acclivation of terrace slopes, wear of shares and cultivator's flues on stony soils are developed and checked. The compounds for carpet forming on tree planting stock and methods of forest planting on scarps and weed control are proposed. The influence of slope abruptness on quality of deep tillage and capacity of terrace making is studied. There is determined efficiency of terracing slopes for soil moisture and humus accumulation, covering of soil surface for storage and development of planted forests, methods of soil preparation for growth of protective stands. There are validated the working parts for treeplanting, cultivation, breast and unbreast tillage, terracing, the establishing of plots for planted forests, the extraction of stones from cultivated layer. The constructions for the strengthening of the escarps of terraces, terraced plots and bottom dams are developed. The machine complex for the establishing of planted forests on mountain slopes is specified.
