Essay

The thesis is dedicated to development of the system approach to control of quality of detonation coatings, including such stages as selection of characteristics of a powder and composition of a working gas mixture, formation of the gas-powder mixture, regulation of parameters of the pulsed two-phase flow, creation of required conditions to provide contact interaction in formation of a coating depending upon the type of a spray material, and ensuring of the assigned service properties of a sprayed layer. Systems intended for gas distribution and mixing of the working gas mixture components, dispensing and feeding of a spray powder, formation of the directed two-phase gas flow, protection from backfire, control, regulation and on-line diagnostics of the technological process were developed on the basis of new science, technology and design solutions. The integrated approach to building of an industrial automated complex (IAC) for deposition of heterofunctional coatings is suggested. Industrial equipment and a package of technological processes were made available for deposition of coatings of WC-Co, amorphising alloys Fe-B, Ni-Nb, Ni-Si-C-Fe, Fe-Cr-B-C and Al2O3, which found wide application at different enterprises of Ukraine, other CIS countries and abroad.
