Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigations of physical basis of processes that occur on surface and in near surface layers of metals under influence of elastic and plastic strains. Author proposed and analyzed physical model for calculations WF of a non-ideal metal surface, too. Hence, the methods of WF measurements have fore-cast possibilities as to early forecast the micro cracks generation. Electric pulse treatment was proved to increase the fatigue resistance of the titanium-based alloy by 20 percent.
