Systematic study of phase equilibria in the Ti-corners of multicomponent Ti-Si-based systems has been carried out for the first time in wide intervals of the temperature and concentration. General attention was focused on crystallisation paths, the character and temperature of solid-state transformations, solubility of components in coexisting phases, mechanical properties of phases and alloys aimed at the balance of high-temperature strength and low-temperature plasticity. The novel alloying complex is proposed, providing this balance in titanium alloys.
