Essay

The dissertation deals with new approach based on the latest method of research - numerical experiment with application of modern computer technologies and several logical, interrelated stages of research. The dissertation focuses on multipurpose, reliable numerical model for nonlinear deformation of complex 3D plate-bar systems with one-way restraints and unified exponential sequences for materials and soil within the whole range of force and deformation loads. The dissertation also looks at development of modern software based on Finite Element Method, super-elements and step-type method of sequential loading process. Several numerical experiments, analyses and analysis result evaluation are presented. Research results were effectively implemented in advanced software package LIRA that is currently used by design companies for analysis and design of structures, by academic institutions for research and teaching activities, by government agencies in order to prepare building codes and other normativedocuments. LIRA software is also used for numerical analysis, strength analysis and safety verification for erection, serviceability conditions, and reconstruction of structures of great importance in normal and complex soil of Ukraine and other countries.
