Object – lupus glomerulonephritis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus; methods – morphological, clinical, laboratory, statistical, mathematical; novelty – high significance of semiquantitative evaluation of morphological changes in kidneys based on developed activity and chronicity indices in the prognosis of the course and outcome of lupus glomerulonephritis as well as the efficacy of pathogenic treatment has been demonstrated; distinctive features of treatment-induced pathomorphism have been displayed and criteria for efficacy of pathogenic therapy as well as risk factors for lupus glomerulonephritis progression in pregnant and in patients with antiphospholipid antibodies have been determined for the first time; results – improvement in pathomorphological diagnostics of lupus glomerulonephritis and in the prediction of the course and outcome of the disease as well as efficacy of pathogenic treatment by means of established criteria based on comprehensive approach to morphological studies ofkidneys, clinical signs and laboratory data; branch – medicine.
