Object is process of polishing of steel details by abrasive instruments; a purpose is the increase of efficiency of polishing of different surfaces of details due to development and realization of scientific bases of specific process of polishing with the crossing axes of instrument and detail as bases for creation of new methods of polishing and determination of terms and regions of their rational use; methods are fundamental positions of theory of cutting of materials, geometrical design, theoretical mechanics, resistance of materials, probability theory and sections of mathematical analysis; novelty - scientific position about the purposeful management by crossing of axes of abrasive circles and processed details as powerful potential of influence on the process of machining allowance removal, physics-mechanical phenomena, which take place in the area of polishing, character and intensity of wear of instrument, exactness and quality of treatment of details, is first offered and proved; results are the increase of productivity and quality of surface; introduction - in production with a large economic effect; branch - mechanical engineering.
