Essay

The thesis is devoted to processes of liquid-phase oxidation of unsaturated compounds by molecular oxygen and tert-butyl hydroperoxide without the catalyst and in the presence of binary compounds of d-metals as catalysts: TiB2, VB2, CrB2, ZrB2, NbB2, MoB2, HfB2, TaB2, W2В5, Мо2В, MoB, MoO3, MnO2, Mn2O3 and Mn3O4. The regularities of change of catalytic activity and selectivity of catalysts depending on their nature and composition and also interrelation between a nature of olefine and oxidizer and their activity in the oxidation reaction have been established. A new data about the mechanism of hydroperoxide oxidation reaction of unsaturated compounds and epoxides formation in the process of olefins oxidation by molecular oxygen have been obtained. On the basis of obtained results the kinetic model of oxidation of unsaturated compounds by molecular oxygen and tert-butyl hydroperoxide and decomposition of tert-butyl hydroperoxide is proposed. This model assumes formation of active and inactive complexesand describes adequately the investigated processes. The kinetic parameters of these reactions have been determined.
