Essay

The correlation of mechano-chemical and rheological processes and their influence upon tribotechnical characteristics of conjugate surfaces in different mediums is established. The physical-chemical model of the process of friction and wear is elaborated. The influence of fretting-corrosion on the steel susceptibility to corrosion cracking is investigated. The experimental evaluation of the existing methods is carried out. New ways of wearability and durability increase of the tribosystem elements are elaborated.
