Essay

A new phenomenon is found and explored - of long duration evolution of twinned martensitic structure under an action of the fixed magnetic field at a stationary temperature, causing deformation of Ni-Mn-Ga single crystals at a display in the noted stationary terms (magnetic creep). It is certain and found out influence of external and structural factors on intensity and kinetics of magnetically induced deformation, including in the stationary terms of the magnetic field and temperature. The structural mechanisms controlled as magneto-plasticity, as well as the magnetic creep are disclosed. The theoretical models magnetically controlled strains in the ferromagnetic martensites are developed, including the stationary terms of the magnetic field and temperature. A new physical approach has been developed: the magnetic creep - long-time evolution of the deformation in the twinned ferromagnetic martensites under stationary conditions with steady external fields action, in particular in the magnetic field The obtained results are a ground for the creation of the technological regimes for the manufacturing and exploitation of magnetic actuators.
